Jake Salutregui Part 1: I Would've Came Out Sooner, If I Knew Who I Was.

The wait is over! I am excited to announce the podcast officially has its first guest!
Jake Salutregui aka Miss Denim Cain.

Jake is an absolute sensation & voice here in Boise's Queer community & most recently a New York resident. His involvement, passion, & support for the community is something I look up to & admire most about him. It is the exact reason I wanted him on this podcast with the important discussions we'd be having involving the community/drag/mental health & so much more!

In this first part episode, Jake & I discuss when he first knew he was gay, he goes into depth about his coming out story & the difficulties surrounding it. He discusses how he got introduced to drag & how his drag persona Denim Cain came to be. He talks about the beginning signs of his struggles with his mental health & why he believes the Queer community struggles immensely with mental health issues.

My hope in this episode with Jake's story & vulnerability is it will inspire people who may be scared to come out or get involved with drag. I hope it shows anyone who is Queer they have a community of people who love them & support them through their journey of self-discovery & becoming who they really are meant to be.
